The main carriageways move quickly, while the service roads either side handle local access, and choosing the wrong one means either missing your exit or crawling behind local traffic. Junctions such as the Roysambu roundabout and the Githurai turnoffs are the usual congestion points, particularly during the evening peak when the whole corridor fills up heading out of town.
